CLIENT OVERVIEW
—
On one of the worlds most famous street, Park Ave, in the heart of Manhatten stands a 16 story building designed and built in 1911 by Starrett & van Vleck. The building sits on an impressive amount of street frontage including 114 feet (35 m) on Fourth Avenue and 100 feet (30 m) on Twenty-second Street as well as Park Ave. It is currently occupied by the Smithsonian Institution’s New York Research Center,[5] the New York State Council on the Arts, Wilhelmina Models, FanDuel, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Rockrose Development Corporation is the landlord.
OUR TASK
—
Building landlord Rockrose development with the help of VJVIT was looking to create a space for tenants to utilize both during and after hours. The then unused rooftop was the perfect space to create an entertainment and relaxation space for tenants and their clients. The center focal point was to be a large widescreen format LEd wall that could be used for ads, video and TV playback.
